Divide a Cell into Columns or Rows (Split Cells)

Command: Table > Split Cells

FrontPage 2002/2003

  1. In this example, we want to divide the top cell into a group of smaller cells.
  2. Right-click in the cell and choose Split Cells.
  3. Choose if you want to split the cell into rows or columns, and how many to split into.
  4. The cell will be split.
  5. The "split lines" follow the existing table cell lines. In the example below, splitting a cell into 3 columns will not result in three equally sized columns. Instead, FrontPage will split the cell along the existing table cell lines:

If you view the Cell Properties, you'll notice that the Rows Spanned or Columns Spanned have changed, as well.
