Link Bar Properties

FrontPage 2002/2003

To access link bar properties, double-click on a link bar that is on your page.

General Tab for Custom Link Bars and Back/Next Link Bars

The General tab looks like this:

  • Choose Existing - This dropdown menu lists the different custom and back/next link bars that are used in your web site. This allows you to quickly select which link bar you wish to display.
  • Create New - Click this button if you want to create a brand new custom or back/next link bar.
  • Add Link - Add another link to the link bar.
  • Remove Link - Remove the selected link from the link bar.
  • Modify Link - Modify the text or URL of the link.
  • Move up/down - Change the order of displayed links in the link bar, or change the order of the series for back/next link bars.
  • Additional links - The "Home page" option will add a link to your home page. The "Parent page" option will add an "Up" link as necessary.

General Tab for Link Bars based on your Navigation Structure

  • Levels - Select the level of pages from your Navigation Structure that you wish to display on the link bar.
  • Additional pages - The "Home page" option will add a link to your home page. The "Parent page" option will add an "Up" link as necessary.

Style Tab

  • Choose a style - Choose which Theme or text style you wish to use for the displayed Link Bar. Scroll all the way down to view the text styles.
  • Orientation and appearance - Choose if you want your links to display vertically or horizontally. If the Theme has these options, you may choose to use Vivid Colors or Active Graphics.
